About Joseph (Joe) Chapline Recently relocated to Baltimore, Ive been doing graphic design and production in the Washington, D.C. area for 17 years. Ive used the business name Fine Line Design for the past ten years, but never trademarked it. Since this is the World Wide Web, and since there are many businesses with the same or similar names in other parts of the country, Im avoiding trouble by using my own name for this website. Since I started my business, I've been fortunate to always have had a few steady customers. Current clients include Arlington County, Virginia and the National Association of Charter School Authorizers. Past clients include Fairfax County, Virginia, United Educators Insurance, New American Schools, and the National Mental Health Association. Having good, steady customers has made it unnecessary for me to advertise or look for work for most of time I've been in business. Now, however, I'd like to add a client or two to the list. If you're in the market for an experienced, dependable graphic artist, please take a look at the samples of my work listed at right, and contact me to discuss your next graphic design project. |

Website design and maintenance Examples of websites I designed and currently maintain: CommuterPage.com provides news and information about transportation alternatives for the Washington, D.C. area. The site promotes public transportation, bicycling, walking, carpooling, telework, and other alternatives to one-person-per-car commuting. ArlingtonTransit.com is the official site of Arlington County, Virginia's local bus system, providing route maps and schedule information. The site also promotes awareness of other transportation options in Arlington, including Metrobus, Metrorail, bicycling, and walking. Arlington's Urban Villages highlights neighborhoods where it's possible to "live, work, shop, play...no car required." iRide is a new website designed to help and encourage Arlington teens to use their great public transportation system. This site was designed following the style of existing print publications developed by another agency. |
